The first part of the route starts at the small pond and then goes along the water slope with shady plants. After the ‘descent’ of the Brabantse Wal, the route leads through the Lage Tuin (Low Garden) and the Eikenbos (Oak Forest). The second part leads through the forest, an arboretum with many different trees and shrubs. The third and last part of the walk goes over the large lawn with the island borders and the long border to the Walled Garden (the ‘Paradise’, the large pond). Finally, the route goes via the side garden to the New Garden.

Guided tours are organised at De Hertgang Estate. Take a walk through the green treasure chamber of the Brabantse Wal.
