About Us

City Hotel Bergen op Zoom is a hotel with history. In 1930, the Oranjeboom Brewery has given the order for the construction of a hotel-café-restaurant. That became the current building, built in the eye-catching style of the Amsterdam School.

Although not all hotel rooms were ready yet, the hotel was opened on the 23th of May 1931. Thirteen rooms were available at that moment: nowadays this number of rooms is more than eighty. For the past thirty years, Toine van Isselt has been at the helm. Above all, he and his team attach great importance to customer friendliness and service.
